Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Skilled Nursing
Location: Scott City, Kansas
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement individualized therapy interventions following each patient's OT plan of care
- Help patients develop and restore functional independence through meaningful activities
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Empower patients and families with education and guidance
- Keep supervising OTs informed about patient status and progress
- Follow safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to keep everyone safe
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active Kansas COTA license (or the ability to obtain one)
- Strong teamwork and patient care skills
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with patients, families, and the care team
- A commitment to safety, infection control, and compliance
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of occupational therapy interventions
- Accurate and timely documentation skills
- Patient and family education techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Infection control and safety compliance
- Patient care and teamwork
