Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement therapeutic interventions as directed by the supervising OT to help patients achieve their goals
• Document patient progress accurately and timely, ensuring continuity of care
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and techniques for ongoing success
• Communicate effectively with the supervising OT regarding patient status and needs
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active COTA license in the state of Iowa (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Patient care and therapy intervention techniques
