Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement therapeutic interventions as outlined in the OT plan of care to help patients regain independence
• Accurately document patient progress and responses to treatment in a timely manner
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued recovery at home
• Communicate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding patient status, progress, and any concerns
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to ensure a safe therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to provide holistic, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active COTA license in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain before start)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and modalities
• Proficient in patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced rehab environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
