Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Provide compassionate bedside care while maintaining patient dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Document patient interactions and care activities accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control protocols

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed and follow safe-lifting practices

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Competence in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
• Good documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
• Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with patients and families
