Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report patient condition changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility to keep residents comfortable
• Support safe transfers and use of assistive devices to reduce fall risk
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
• Help create a respectful, dignified environment that promotes patient well-being

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in New Mexico
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background and health screenings
• Compassionate bedside manner, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Comfort with extended day shifts (longer coverage) and able to manage physical demands of caregiving

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of patient hygiene, toileting, and ADL assistance
• Ability to follow care plans and infection control procedures
• Strong observational skills to identify and report clinical changes
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Reliable time management and documentation skills
