Speech-Language Pathologist - Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Mitchell, South Dakota
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations to identify patient needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals
- Provide skilled therapy services that improve communication and swallowing function
- Document all services accurately and in compliance with regulations and facility standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families for optimal outcomes
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (Master's degree)
- Current state SLP license in South Dakota
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY eligibility
- Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills
- Passion for making a difference in patients' lives
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in speech, language, and swallowing therapy
- Skilled in patient evaluation and treatment planning
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
