Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
• Develop and update treatment and discharge plans to help patients improve daily living skills
• Document patient progress accurately and timely to ensure continuity of care
• Supervise and support Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as per practice acts and facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families to create holistic care plans
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and facility standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT or OTD)
• Active Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain one before start)
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills
• Passion for helping others achieve independence in daily living

Education

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) from an accredited program
• Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and treatment planning
• Occupational therapy interventions for daily living skills
• Accurate clinical documentation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and family education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
