Roles & Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients to restore function and mobility
• Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care
• Document patient services accurately and in a timely manner
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians in line with state practice acts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, families, and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
• Active South Carolina Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain one before start
• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills
• Comfortable adapting to different facilities, schedules, and patient populations
• A passion for helping patients regain independence and quality of life

Education

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT/MSPT/BSPT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluation and developing personalized treatment plans
• Knowledgeable in clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
• Experienced in supervising PTAs and rehab techs
• Great collaborator with interdisciplinary teams and families
• Adaptable to varying facility protocols, patient needs, and schedules
• Understanding of safety, infection control, and evidence-based practice
