Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals, reporting any changes to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians and other nurses to create and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Respond quickly to patient emergencies and escalate as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Idaho or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or step-down nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a new environment quickly

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpreting rhythms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
