Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and maintain accurate treatment records
• Capture patient impressions and manage digital records using Denticon software
• Keep the clinical environment organized, clean, and ready for each patient

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Dental Assistant (must be ortho certified as noted in the job posting)
• Hands-on experience with orthodontic procedures and patient care
• Proficiency with Denticon practice management software
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Current state dental assisting certification/licensure as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and techniques
• Skill in taking dental X-rays and impressions
• Familiarity with Denticon software for scheduling and charting
• Understanding of dental office protocols and sterilization standards
• Ability to multitask and assist multiple providers effectively
