Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including cleanings and periodontal therapy.
• Educate patients on oral health maintenance and preventive care.
• Partner with the dentist to deliver exceptional treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update health histories.
• Follow strict infection control and safety protocols.
• Take and develop dental radiographs as ordered.

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience with dental radiographs and patient care
• Ability to provide compassionate, quality care
• Must be available for the assignment dates (FMLA/LOA coverage)

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Proficient in taking and processing dental X-rays
• Comfortable using dental software for charting and documentation
• Attention to detail and a gentle chairside manner
