Surgical Scrub Tech - Operating Room

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures
- Set up and arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during operations
- Assist the surgical team with gowning, gloving, and safe handling of specimens
- Document and track surgical supplies and equipment usage
- Collaborate with nursing and surgical staff to ensure smooth workflow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program (CAAHEP/ABHES) or NBSTA certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a surgical technologist
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (CAAHEP/ABHES) or NBSTA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in sterile technique and aseptic practices
- Proficiency in preparing surgical equipment and instrumentation
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures to anticipate surgeon needs
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with electronic medical record documentation (Point Click preferred)
- Familiarity with operating room workflows and safety protocols
