Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend (48 hours per week)
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adults with diverse conditions including cardiac, respiratory, stroke, vascular, and renal diagnoses
- Titrate critical drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin with precision
- Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring early detection of cardiac changes
- Manage high-flow oxygen therapy and assess patients' respiratory status effectively
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced PCU environment
- Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to support patient care across units
Qualifications
- Active RN license required (compact license accepted)
- At least 2 years of PCU or stepdown nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Competency in arterial line management
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Must reside outside the 50-mile radius and not be employed by any CommonSpirit or CHI facility
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in cardiac and stepdown nursing care
- Drip titration and vasoactive medication management
- Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
- Arterial line insertion, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- High-flow oxygen therapy and respiratory support
- EPIC electronic health record proficiency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to succeed in a culturally diverse environment
