Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department with a wide range of conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as ordered
• Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive emergency care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Respond to emergency codes and participate in resuscitation efforts

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
• Previous experience in an emergency department or acute care setting is highly desirable
• Strong critical thinking and multi-tasking skills in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and team members

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of emergency nursing principles and protocols
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Dedication to patient safety and quality of care
