Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes to nursing staff
• Support patients with mobility, transferring, and positioning to ensure safety
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care provided accurately and timely
• Collaborate with nurses and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care techniques and safety protocols
• Skill in using medical equipment like blood pressure cuffs and thermometers
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Empathy and patience when caring for others
• Basic computer skills for charting and communication
