Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general ultrasound exams including OB across all three trimesters
• Deliver vascular ultrasound studies with attention to diagnostic detail
• Complete ultrasound procedures and document studies accurately in EPIC RIS/Fuji PACS
• Maintain patient comfort and safety while positioning and scanning
• Collaborate with radiologists during on-site coverage (radiologists in-house three days/week)
• Adhere to infection control, radiation safety and departmental protocols
• Participate in the orientation week and any required training modules

Qualifications

• ARDMS credential (RDMS/RDCS/RVT) or RVS through CCI required
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) via CCI accepted/required as listed
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum ~1 year of ultrasound experience (per posting)
• Comfortable performing OB and vascular exams; echo experience is a plus but not required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the 60-mile radius requirement (driver’s license must be submitted)
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation after 9:00 PM and on weekends
• Agency clinicians should be able to obtain/accept agency-provided rad badge

Education

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent (preferred)
• Professional sonography certifications (ARDMS/RVS) as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with ultrasound imaging for OB and vascular studies
• Familiarity with EPIC RIS and Fuji PACS for charting and image management
• Experience using Toshiba ultrasound units; exposure to Phillips units is a plus
• Strong image acquisition, measurement and documentation skills
• Patient communication, positioning and bedside manner
• Ability to work independently in an acute care radiology setting
