Shift Type: Tuesday (overnight into Wednesday), 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM NOC (night)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients quickly and accurately in an urgent care setting
Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for acute illnesses and injuries
Administer medications, treatments and wound care per protocols
Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and implement plans of care
Document patient encounters clearly and timely in the medical record
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment and follow-up plans
Triage and prioritize care to ensure patient safety during busy night shifts

Qualifications

Active RN license in California required
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS or PALS preferred where applicable
Previous clinical experience in urgent care, emergency, or acute care preferred (1+ years ideal)
Strong assessment, triage and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and communicate effectively with the care team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in urgent care clinical assessments and basic procedures
Comfortable with medication administration and IV starts
Excellent patient communication and education skills
Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure
