Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform rapid assessments, triage patients based on acuity, and initiate life-saving interventions
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered while monitoring patient responses closely
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the care team to develop and adjust treatment plans
• Document patient conditions and care accurately in electronic health records and educate families on discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Active BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• ACLS certification required; PALS and TNCC preferred
• Previous emergency department or critical care experience preferred
• Ability to stay calm and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in triage and emergency response protocols
• Comfort with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate patient-centered approach during stressful situations
