Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients of all ages, with a focus on pediatric care
• Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and preventive dental practices
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile, organized environment
• Accurately document patient care and update dental records in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dental office setting

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and best practices
• Proficiency with dental software for patient records and charting
• Excellent patient education and communication skills
• Attention to detail for accurate x-rays and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
