Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed
• Assist the orthodontist during examinations, adjustments, and other treatments
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care of braces and aligners
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• X-ray certification required (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and techniques
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of OSHA and HIPAA regulations
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
