Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care to patients, including cleanings and oral hygiene education
• Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and document patient health histories
• Take and interpret dental X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a safe, welcoming clinical environment
• Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and prevention strategies

Qualifications

• Current Dental Hygiene license in Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in a dental office preferred, but new grads welcome to apply
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
• Experience with digital radiography and dental software
• Excellent communication and patient teaching abilities
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative clinical team
