Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists with patient care and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment areas
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Maintain patient records and update documentation
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients
• Support the dental team in delivering high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or willingness to obtain
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Previous experience in a dental office is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a warm bedside manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and infection control practices

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and record keeping
• Skill in taking dental radiographs
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
