Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult, pediatric and neonatal patients as appropriate
• Manage ventilators and deliver advanced modes of respiratory support
• Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpretation to guide therapy
• Respond to emergency codes and participate in resuscitation efforts (NRP/ACLS/PALS scenarios)
• Assess respiratory status, initiate treatments and titrate oxygen and aerosol therapies
• Document respiratory assessments, interventions and patient progress accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and equipment use

Qualifications

• Active California respiratory license (required)
• Current NRP, BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
• Proof of a negative TB test within 12 months prior to contract start (required)
• Comfort and competence working three 12-hour day shifts and providing hands-on respiratory care
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and teamwork mindset

• Oxygen therapy, aerosol delivery and airway management
• Arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation
• Neonatal, pediatric and adult resuscitation principles (NRP, PALS, ACLS)
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
