Registered Nurse - Surgical/Orthopedic Nights
Location: Bangor, ME
Start Date: 08-31-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement patient care for post-surgical and orthopedic patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, rehabilitation, and discharge instructions
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly
- Maintain a safe, compassionate, and healing environment for patients and their families
Qualifications
- Current Maine RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in Med-Surg or Ortho
- Telemetry experience preferred
- MOAB or CPI certification preferred
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
