Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions as directed
- Educate patients on braces and Invisalign care, answering their questions with a friendly approach
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting, documenting treatments and progress
- Provide exceptional chairside support, making each patient feel comfortable and informed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience
- X-ray certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Hands-on experience with orthodontic procedures, braces, and Invisalign
- Strong communication skills and a passion for patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in orthodontic terminology and clinical workflows
- Knowledge of dental software for scheduling and record keeping
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office while staying detail-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
