Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry and progressive care patients with vigilance and compassion
Administer medications including inotropes and vasopressors (Milrinone, Dobutamine, pressors) safely and accurately
Respond rapidly to STEMI, NSTEMI and post-CTS patient needs and escalate per protocol
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute patient-centered care plans
Document patient care and demographics thoroughly, including badge-appropriate photo as requested
Educate patients and families on condition, medications and post-discharge care to support recovery

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years documented PCU experience in a similarly sized facility (must be in work history)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, and medication administration (inotropes/vasopressors)
Comfort caring for STEMI, NSTEMI and cardiothoracic surgery patients
Ability to accurately document demographics and application materials, including badge photo

Knowledge & Skills

Progressive care nursing and cardiac care fundamentals
Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Proficiency with cardiac drips such as Milrinone and Dobutamine and use of pressors
Strong medication administration and infusion management skills
Familiarity with STEMI/NSTEMI and post-CTS patient management
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) competency
