Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating duties for pediatric open heart surgeries
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of pediatric cardiac specialists
• Assist with bedside sternal closures and washout procedures in the ICU
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure patient safety during complex procedures
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule to cover emergent cases

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of operating room experience with cardiac background
• Pediatric CVOR experience strongly preferred
• Current Texas RN license or compact license accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Meditech EMR experience a plus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with pediatric open heart surgery procedures
• CVOR scrub skills desirable but not mandatory
• Ability to work collaboratively with cath lab and echo teams
• High performer who adapts quickly to new settings
