Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedics, robotics, urology, and neuro
• Assist the surgical team with procedures using advanced technology like the DaVinci Robot, endovascular suite, and neurospine microscope
• Serve as a patient advocate and ensure safety and comfort throughout the surgical journey
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to deliver seamless care
• Document patient care accurately in the Altera EMR system
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 emergency surgical coverage

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with an active license in hand at the time of submission
• 2+ years of Operating Room nursing experience, with proficiency in orthopedics, total joints, general surgery, robotics, endovascular, urology, and neuro
• Current ACLS certification required
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and best practices
• Skilled in using surgical equipment such as DaVinci Robot, endovascular suite, and neurospine microscope
• Understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Familiarity with Altera EMR
• Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
