Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical/surgical patients
• Assess, plan, and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage patient symptoms effectively
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain electronic health records
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate care when needed
• Advocate for patients' needs and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact license if applicable)
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience is a plus
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and evidence-based practices
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Skilled in electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
