Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver gentle, thorough dental cleanings and preventive care
- Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and document findings
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and at-home care techniques
- Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort at every step
- Maintain a sterile, organized environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Genuine passion for patient education and preventive dentistry
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, friendly chairside manner
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced practice
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of dental hygiene techniques and instruments
- Experience with dental radiographs and imaging software
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with patients
