Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including medical and post-surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias, collaborating with monitor techs
• Float to telemetry unit as needed, maintaining a 1:4 ratio
• Document accurately in Cerner EMR and communicate effectively with charge nurse and nursing aides
• Participate in holiday rotation and weekend shifts as part of the team
• Work a 36-hour guaranteed weekly schedule with 12-hour shifts

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Med Surg experience required, with prior travel experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry and pass dysrhythmia exam
• Team player with strong communication skills
• COVID vaccination required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner EMR
• Telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Medical-surgical nursing skills including post-op care
• Ability to float between Med Surg and Telemetry units
