Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert care to high-risk laboring and delivery patients in a Level 3 facility
- Perform vaginal exams and internal monitor placements with confidence
- Circulate and recover C-Section patients delivering life-changing moments
- Titrate critical drips like Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin
- Monitor fetal strips and manage antepartum patients ensuring safety
- Collaborate with in-house OB/Neonatologists and Anesthesia 24/7
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS, ACLS, AFM, and NRP certifications
- Experience with high-risk laboring/delivery and antepartum patients
- Independent and confident in vaginal exams and internal monitor placement
- Able to circulate and recover C-Sections
- Comfortable titrating drips and reading fetal monitor strips
Education
- RN licensure required
- Relevant OB/L&D experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Titration of Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin
- Fetal monitor strip interpretation using Cerner EFM system
- High-risk OB patient management
- Vaginal exams and internal monitor placement
- C-Section circulation and recovery
- AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines
