Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to a diverse patient population including dementia, stroke, and geriatric cases
• Triage and manage initial trauma care in the ER with confidence
• Titrate drips like electrolytes, antihypertensives, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions
• Interpret cardiac strips and collaborate with charge nurses and CNAs
• Support rehab and restorative care while floating between ER, MedSurg, and Swing Bed units
• Make a real difference in this critical access rural hospital serving the community

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 2+ years of nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Understanding of dementia care, stroke care, and geriatric skin care
• No recent work within 50 miles of Turtle Lake or with CommonSpirit facilities

Education

• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in dementia, stroke, and geriatric skin care
• Proficiency titrating drips and reading cardiac strips
• Team nursing approach with 1:8 ratios supported by CNAs
• Familiarity with common diagnoses like diabetes, wounds, COVID, and post-surgical rehab
• EPIC electronic medical records system
