Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and expert care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding quickly to ensure safety
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and emergency procedures for positive outcomes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a supportive birth experience
• Educate and empower new parents with newborn care, feeding, and recovery guidance

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state license accepted
• AWHONN certification required (or must be obtained prior to start)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Experience with fetal heart monitoring and labor and delivery care
• Circulating experience preferred but not required
• Ready to start on 08/24/2026 and adapt quickly to a new team

Knowledge & Skills

• AWHONN and fetal heart monitoring expertise
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certified
• Knowledge of circulating procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced labor and delivery unit
