Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms for patients in the Interventional Care Unit
• Provide expert pre and post-operative nursing care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients
• Assist with cardiac cath lab interventions and ensure smooth recovery
• Float to telemetry units to support the team and broaden your skills
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
• Administer medications, manage lines, and respond to changes in patient status

Qualifications

• 2 years of hospital experience required
• Active VA license or compact license at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Comfortable floating to telemetry units - training provided
• Cardiac nursing experience and telemetry monitoring skills a must

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Critical thinking and strong assessment abilities
• Understanding of cardiac cath lab procedures, vascular surgery, and post-op open heart care
• Hands-on use of Doppler, cardiac monitors, a-lines, TR bands, and sheaths
• Teamwork, dependability, and a 'can do' attitude
