Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor critically ill patients and quickly respond to any changes in their condition
• Administer medications, manage IV drips, and operate advanced life-support equipment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Provide compassionate support and clear communication to patients and their families during intense moments
• Document patient progress meticulously and ensure accurate medical records

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois or a compact state
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Prior ICU or critical care experience is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn goes a long way
• Ability to stay composed and effective in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking in high-pressure situations
• Comfort with ventilators, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and teammates
• Attention to detail in medication administration and documentation
• Resilience and adaptability to handle the unpredictable nature of ICU nursing
