Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgery
• Monitor vital signs, airway patency, and level of consciousness closely
• Administer medications and manage pain control to promote smooth recovery
• Assess patients for complications and respond quickly to prevent adverse outcomes
• Educate patients and families on recovery milestones and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Previous PACU or critical care experience required
• Ability to think quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of post-anesthesia care and recovery protocols
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, airway management, and medication titration
• Understanding of surgical procedures, anesthesia side effects, and pain management
• Proficient with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
