Shift Type: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM, or 5x8-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Plus 10-15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI/Stroke coverage.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, hemodynamic status, and EKG changes.
• Administer medications and conscious sedation as directed.
• Provide emergency care during STEMI and stroke activations.
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and DCI/BVP certifications
• Successful completion of Prime pre-employment exams and skills checklists
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening and background check
• Friendly and adaptable with a patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and hemodynamics
• Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and EKGs
• Experience with sterile technique and operating imaging equipment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy
