Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-acuity emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED.
• Triage patients, assess conditions, and initiate life-saving interventions quickly and confidently.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and nursing staff to create seamless care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately in Epic EHR and maintain clear communication.
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care for better outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York or compact/multi-state license (willingness to obtain NY license required).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• TNCC certification strongly preferred.
• Previous Emergency Department or trauma nursing experience preferred.
• Must reside 75+ miles from Syracuse, NY (no local contracts).
• Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and health screening requirements.
• Comfort with Epic EHR is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking under pressure.
• Ability to triage and prioritize care in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the care team.
• Knowledge of emergency nursing standards, protocols, and safety practices.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
