Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments that help patients regain strength, balance, and independence
• Collaborate with supervising Physical Therapists to carry out personalized care plans
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities
• Track patient progress and document treatments accurately so every care decision stays informed
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe movement strategies
• Partner with nursing, OT, and speech teams to keep recovery moving forward as one team

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active California PTA license (or eligible to obtain one)
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in post acute, skilled nursing, or rehab settings is a plus but new grads with strong clinicals are welcome
• A caring, patient-first attitude and a genuine love for helping people move better

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid grasp of therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and modality use
• Comfort with electronic documentation and rehab charting systems
• Great communication skills with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team
• Time management that keeps a busy caseload moving smoothly
• Adaptability to shifting patient needs in a post acute environment
