Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately while keeping patient safety front and center
• Counsel patients on medication use, interactions and possible side effects with a caring touch
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and clinic staff to fine-tune medication therapy
• Maintain precise records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Manage inventory, monitor drug storage and help keep the pharmacy running smoothly
• Support immunization efforts and preventive care services for the community
• Serve as a trusted resource for clinical questions from the broader care team

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state of California
• PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy program
• Prior outpatient, retail or clinical pharmacy experience is a plus
• Current BLS certification preferred
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help patients
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Willingness to commit to a 29-week assignment starting October 2026

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid grasp of pharmacology, dosing and drug interaction management
• Familiarity with pharmacy dispensing systems and electronic health records
• Sharp attention to detail when reviewing prescriptions and orders
• Excellent patient counseling and education abilities
• Knowledge of California pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements
• Calm, organized approach to a fast-paced clinical environment
• Team-first attitude with a knack for clear communication
