Roles & Responsibilities

• Help patients rebuild the everyday skills they need to live independently and confidently
• Design personalized treatment plans that blend creativity, clinical expertise, and genuine compassion
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques that restore strength and function
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver truly coordinated care
• Document progress clearly and celebrate every win, whether it is tying a shoelace or returning to a favorite hobby
• Educate patients and families on home strategies that keep progress going long after discharge
• Bring energy and encouragement to each session, because your enthusiasm is part of the therapy

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of California
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Prior skilled nursing, rehab, or post acute experience is a plus, though strong new clinicians are always welcome to apply
• A team player attitude paired with the independence to manage your own caseload
• Must bring a state or federal issued identification to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
• A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of the patients you serve

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment
• Strong communication skills for working with patients, families, and teammates
• Comfort with electronic documentation and rehab charting systems
• Patience, empathy, and a talent for motivating patients on tough days
• Time management skills that keep your caseload moving smoothly
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced rehab environment
