Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays, impressions, and records
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
• Manage and update patient charts using Denticon
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for every patient

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dental assisting or orthodontic assisting
• Familiarity with Denticon software is a plus
• Maryland dental assistant certification or license as required
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with chairside procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficiency in dental practice management software (Denticon preferred)
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
