Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and other procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
• Take and process dental x-rays and impressions as needed
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and support a smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• Active Orthodontic Certification is required
• Maryland dental assistant certification/licensure as applicable
• Experience working in an orthodontic office is a big plus
• Familiarity with Denticon software is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Knowledge of sterilization standards and infection control
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
