Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dental hygienist with patient treatments and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Provide exceptional patient care and comfort during visits
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment
• Update patient records and assist with charting

Qualifications

• Active dental assistant certification/license in the state of Maryland (or willing to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiology (X-ray) certification preferred
• Prior experience as a dental assistant or hygienist assistant is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Skill in using dental software and record-keeping systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to sterilize and maintain instruments
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
