Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take dental X-rays and digital impressions as directed
• Educate patients on braces care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Maryland Dental Assistant registration or license (as applicable)
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification preferred
• Experience in an orthodontic or dental practice
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Dental radiography (X-ray) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
