Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment
• Take dental X-rays, impressions, and photos for treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and the proper care of orthodontic appliances
• Manage patient records and schedule appointments to ensure a smooth workflow
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional care to every patient

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontically certified (COA or equivalent)
• Completion of a dental assisting program is preferred
• Minimum of 0-1 years of experience as a dental assistant, with orthodontic experience a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification is highly desirable
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced dental environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong dental assisting and orthodontic assisting skills
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials
• Familiarity with dental practice management software, such as Denticon
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
• Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment
