Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling to keep patients' smiles healthy
• Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Conduct oral health assessments and document patient histories
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure a comfortable patient experience
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments, adhering to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New York State
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• At least 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient-first approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and materials
• Proficient in taking dental X-rays and using dental software
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and comfort
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity
