Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and create individualized treatment plans that help patients regain independence
• Design and deliver therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, range of motion, fine-motor coordination, and daily living skills
• Recommend, train on, and fit adaptive equipment and prosthetic devices so patients can resume meaningful routines
• Conduct home assessments and provide practical strategies for safe functioning in the community
• Provide sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation therapies for patients with neurological needs
• Document timely and accurate patient records and reports in accordance with departmental standards
• Collaborate with schools, nursing homes, visiting nurse associations, and hospitals to support patient-centered care
• Lead prevocational programming to prepare patients for return to work or new vocational goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Current valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license required (or actively in process of obtaining)
• One year of OT experience preferred; new graduates welcome and encouraged to apply
• Ability to complete mandatory education and maintain regulatory requirements
• Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliable communication (including regular checking of work email)

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluations, treatment planning, and documentation
• Experience with therapeutic exercises, splinting, and adaptive equipment training
• Familiar with sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation techniques
• Ability to design home programs and perform home assessments
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Comfortable working with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac, and balance disorder populations
