Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical MRI procedures with independent judgment and initiative, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Prioritize MRI safety for every patient, staff member, and visitor, following all safety protocols with a comprehensive understanding of MRI safety.
- Work under limited supervision, collaborating with the Director of Radiology and Medical Director to deliver consultative imaging services.
- Adapt procedures to meet the needs of inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients of all ages.
- Contribute to departmental quality control, quality assurance monitoring, and continuous education for staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Previous experience in MRI in a hospital setting.
- ARRT Registry certification.
- MRI Registry certification.
- CPR certification.
- Venipuncture certification, or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire.
- At least 2 recent supervisory references.
Education
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of MRI safety protocols and best practices.
- Skilled in performing MRI procedures independently.
- Strong foundation in radiologic technology and imaging principles.
- Proficiency in venipuncture for contrast administration.
- Current CPR and emergency response skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
